Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. Growing up, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as traditional boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. She began singing and learning music with her mother, she began her more intensive training in singing when she was 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. In her early career, she included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After 2000, she emigrated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in traditional Latin American music at private performances. Her love and passion in music, art and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations continue the tradition.
